Independent Research Firm Gives Ektron a 4 out of 4 Score for its Community Controls in Web Content Management Report
NASHUA, NH August 21, 2009 – Ektron Inc., a technology and market leader in Web content management software, was among the select companies that Forrester Research, Inc. invited to participate in its August 2009 report titled, Five Additional Options to Consider for Web Content Management. In this evaluation, Ektron received a perfect score for its Community controls and was the only vendor evaluated to receive a 4 out of 4 ranking in this category.
Ektron has been focused on community functionality going back as early as 2005 and introduced its social networking tool box in 2007. The company’s social computing technology is included in its Web content management platform, Ektron CMS400.NET as out-of-the-box functionality. Ektron feels that pairing a Web CMS platform with social tools is the combination organizations and in particular, marketers are looking for to advance their online strategies and build the strong customer relationships they need to be successful.
“We are very excited to have been invited by Forrester to participate in this research report,” stated Bill Rogers, chief executive officer at Ektron. “Including advanced social computing functionality in our Web content management platform has been a strong focus of Ektron’s for many years. In doing so, we have built a significant customer base around corporate intranets and membership communities and we feel that as companies continue to build social strategies there will be more pressure put on WCM providers to offer the social and community tools customers will need out-of-the-box.”
Ektron customers leveraging Ektron CMS400.NET for membership community Web sites and corporate intranets include: Aramark, Corning Incorporated, John Hancock and Arts Every Day.
