Ektron Announces $50,000 K-12 Web Site Contest
Schools asked to submit 1,000-word essay explaining what they want their Web site to do
NASHUA, NH October 20, 2009 – Ektron Inc., a technology and market leader in Web content management software, today asked all K-12 schools in New Hampshire to submit an essay explaining how they would use a complimentary Web site, powered by Ektron CMS400.NET and built by the Ektron professional services team. The essay should explain what the school would like to be able to do with their Web site and why they feel their school should win this prize valued at over $50,000.
“We believe the positive business environment that New Hampshire provides has been a key component in allowing us to build Ektron into the global company it is today,” stated Bill Rogers, Ektron’s CEO who founded the company a decade ago in Hollis, NH. “I am pleased to have a chance to give back to New Hampshire by delivering a complete Web solution with all the content management and social networking functionality the school identifies as important. I believe it is essential for Ektron to also offer the implementation services needed to ensure that the winning school successfully implements our software in a way that aligns with the goals laid out in their essay.”
Ektron has developed a substantial level of expertise through working with school districts across the country and is excited to hear what New Hampshire schools want their Web sites to do and to help them make that vision a reality. Submissions should explain how the school would take advantage of a comprehensive Web content management, social media and e-commerce solution to build a Web site that makes a difference for their school and the community as a whole.
Essays should consist of no more than 1,000 words and be submitted by December 31, 2009 online at http://www.ektron.com/k12contest . The winning school will receive free Ektron software and professional services valued at over $50,000.
