The individual in this role will identify, develop and generate new business leads in an assigned territory and act in support of the field account executives. The Senior System Engineer is part of a team chartered to support Ektron's Managed Services & SaaS Operations offering providing high service availability to our customers.
Our Systems Engineers work on solving complex software deployments, solution availability and infrastructure problems, and develop automation to fix issues with least possible human intervention (self-healing cloud centric infrastructure designs). They also contribute to common Ektron automation platforms. Everything from CDNs, Network Design, Computer Virtualization, Operating Systems, Storage, Security, Computer Architecture, Product Architecture etc. are pulled together to develop low maintenance, 0-downtime Solution Architecture, covering operability, monitoring and management.
This Role works closely with key stakeholders, including Customer, Product Development Team, PMO, IT, SaaS Operations and Support teams, in ensuring the technologies adhere to 99.9% or higher uptime. The position requires the right blend of technical depth, breadth, experience and process awareness to handle the day-to-day responsibilities. A positive attitude and the ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast paced environment are essential in this role. Good organizational skills and self-discipline are also required.
